I have a 2004 suzuki aerio. The clutch is slipping, is there a way to tighten it up? Or do I just need to replace the clutch?
All help is greately appreciated and welcomed.
There is no adjustment to be made on the clutch disk. Replacement is the only solution. Remember that clutch slipping may be caused due to several reasons such as excessive wear due to incorrect driving manners which is the most common reason. If this is the cause, replacement is urgent because the clutch rivets can damage the flywheel and the pressure plate. Also, if there is any oil leak in the rear side of the crankcase gasket or in the crankshaft oil retainer, the flywheel can spread this oil through all the clutch area causing it to slip. The oil also can come through the transmission shaft if the oil seal inside the tranny is damaged. Transmission has to be removed in order to achieve a correct diagnostic. Good luck!!
