Default Help Python 1400XP Remote Start/Keyless Entry System

Hi all,

I have a 2002 Aerio, the oem remote keyless module quit working on the car, so I have a local shop installed Python 1400XP Remote Start/Keyless Entry System on my car. I have some problems with the remote starter part; I hope can get your expert advices here.
1. The remote starter fail to start the car 3 out of 10 times
2. The technician and the manual say that the remote starter should re-try 3 times to start the engine if it fails to start the first time, then it should shut off after 3 fail attempts. But this system on mine never re-tries, if it fail to start the first time. The lights are on except the head lights, seems it is still working on something.
3. There is a Valet Take-Over function (take the key out of the ignition and Keep the car running). The steps to do this are, a) with the care running & keys in the ignition, press the start button on the remote within 3 sec (just like staring the car), b) then turn the keys to off position and take out the keys, car will be still running for the programmed time. The problem with my system is, after I take out the keys, car will remain running as it suppose to, but 5 sec later, starter tries to crank.

They didn't install anything other than what's include in the retail remote starter package.
Any idea on what’s wrong? Thank you in advance!
