Default Aerio Ac

Hello,

I have a 2003 aerio with 70K miles. The AC rumbles when the engine is at idle and the car is in gear. Any thoughts what this may be? It stops when I accelerate or shift to neutral.

Also, are there any repair manuals for sale out there? I try to do my own work but I don't like flying blind.

Thanks...
Bill

I have the same problem. I took it in to my dealer last week and they said it was the AC compressor and that they need to replace the entire compressor. I bought an extended warranty plan so it should be covered. But they did mention that it would be $1300 + labor to fix it.

Default Aerio Ac

More details...

The compressor turns and the clutch engages but it only stays engaged for about 5 seconds (keeps cycling in/out). I checked the lo/hi pressures and got 35 and 215 psi respectively. These should be good (according to the card that came with the gage set) but the compressor won't stay engaged. Any help would be appreciated.....

Thanks
