Default 2003 aerio sx stalled in a puddle

Last week we had the Nor' easter here in NY. My 2003 Aerio sx awd stalled while driving to a puddle. I did not realize how deep the puddle was. The car would not start. About 5 minutes later I pushed it out of the puddle. The puddle was about 20 inch deep. Since it was 11:30PM I left the car and came back in the AM.I removed the spark plugs and started the car, water came out. I put back the plugs. It took about 3 minutes to get the to start. Water was coming out of the tailpipe.
I drove it home but when I get to around 40MPH it was reving high. it does not go to the next gear. Also the "air bag" and the "service engine lights" are lit. I changed oil twice already and changed spark plugs.
Is the sensor damage? Help!

TIA

maybe mass airflow sensor damage, but doesn't explain airbag light

your lucky your steering didnt cut out as well. These aerio's have electronic steering controlls that are prone to going bad once wet. I live in southern PA....trust me we get some rain storms that would easily have my aerio floating away if i didnt live on a hill. You may want to check the mass air flow sensor, and the thermal sensors for the transmision.....mine have gone a few times....good luck and i hope you didnt fry it all....
