Default New and hoping you can tell me whats going on?

Its after midnight and I am scouring the net trying to find info on whats going on with my Automatic Aerio '03.

I finally got it paid it all off last month and this month its the 3rd time into the shop.

First I had a loud...loud squeeling noise when the car was in park or going slowly and the A/C was turned on. The shop said it needed a new belt and that there was a "bulliten" out on it. I emailed Suzuki since I am "after warrenty" and basically they said fix it and you may have to do it every few years. ($185) for new belt. Apparently my car was not affected according to the shop but they showed me no proof of that.

That was 2 weeks ago. The squeel is starting again and its going back to the shop tomorrow.

But the scariest thing was just this passed weekend I was in the city, heavy traffic, moving at about 80/90 kph, hot outside 35C+...freaking car just turns off. No lights go off, no check engine lights, I just lose power like it was thrown into neutral. I had my 2 babies in the car and on the inside lane of 4 lane traffic with no place or time to pull over. My husband throws it into neutral, turn the key and it starts up again. I cannot trust this car and I used to love it.

It has a brake clunk at first stop after car has been stationary for a while, or after shifting into reverse.

Have any of you "car people" heard of these problems. I am not a car person and I basically just have to believe whatever they tell me but I'd like to have some idea when I go into the shop again tomorrow.
there just gonna say "I dont know, can't find ot or worked fine for me" and charge me $$$.

Please and Thank you,

Hi, I'm new to this forum and it looks to me as though there is not a lot of mechanic type experience here... you say you're not a car person so I suppose you are at the mercy of the dealer.

If it is not your only transport and you can afford to have it off the road for a while, try becomming a bit of a car person. Buy a workshop manual and try to make sense of the diagrams it will have in the areas of your car that are being an issue.

If you can give some details of what you have looked at and tried, then maybe someone will be willing to point you in a new direction.

It is pretty poor form for your dealer to be sending you away without satisfaction... are there any other dealers you can talk to? Start bad-mouthing "the other guys" and hope that these ones are not very good friends with them.
