I've seen and heard alot of people installing these in their vehicles saying that they experience horsepower gains after installing them. Some as high as 6-8 hp!!
Anyone else know anything about this?

Most of us are looking to make the wires instead of buying the expensive kits.

This is easier than making you own.

i am curious, how would grounding in any way affect horsepower?

Supposedly if there is a better ground for the vehicle that's less power that is used to run the various systems on the car and more that can be used for power. This is what I have read, but I don't know if it's true or not. Plus you're grounding several components individually as opposed to just one ground. Can anyone else add anything to that or let me know if I'm wrong on this? I don't want to put out the wrong info.

remember those strips ppl used to hang from their bumpers , that would dissapate static electricity? i am not an engineer , but i dont see how individual grounding could affect horsepower, assuming the car is grounded properly at all. i could be wrong here. and i am not saying grounding is bad , but how does it give 5 or more hp??

I'm not saying that I gained any hp from Ma-bo's Ground Wire Kit,but I do feel that it idles smoother and feels like a crisper throttle response! Think of it as grounding insurance with the presence of a small over all gain!!!

I am a electrical generator mechanic, and i look at it this way. I'm kinda skeptical to the grounding to get more horsepower, but it does make sense. when you have more than one thing going in your car like stereo or heater or fan you get a bigger load obviously. This means that more of a load will be placed on the alternator and more of a load on ground or common. So, you could get a higher amperage alternator and/or get a higher amperage ground. What I mean when saying a higher amperage ground is dividing it up so everything isn't running through one wire and getting a bigger ground wire that can dissipate more heat. Now, I haven't researched it and don't have any numbers for ya, but I seriously doubt it'll do enough to even worry about... but I am pretty sure that it would give you maybe like 1mpg diff. (if that)... the whole amperage thing and the bigger alternator is because when you place more of a load on an alternator or generator it becomes harder to turn the rotor. what turns the rotor? the engine... thus, the engine having to work harder... with the amperage and ground wire thing... picture it like this... you're trying to move water (current) through a single hose then you try to move MORE water through that hose... would the water flow easier if you added more hoses off of the one hose (i dont mean connecting them together like you go garden hoses) YES....

grounding kits dont give u any noticible horse power gains, basically they just make all your electronics work better
