Hi I was just wondering if anybody was having this problem with their spark plugs.
I have been changing the SP every 6000, my mpg drop from 30-32 when the plugs are new to 24-25 in about 6000 and I drive the same route everyday to work. I can even feel the power difference on the car. First set was change about a year ago with the same SP that it came with, and I have tried autolite and today I replaced them with Bosh 2 plat. HAs any body has this problem?

Ive never had any problems with my spark plugs but have changed them about 5 different times within 40,000 miles.

If your experiencing losses with the iridiums and you're going to be replacing them that often the dont pay the iridium premium price, if you're going to be changing that often go with copper plugs.

If your looking for platinum2's youll be hard pressed to find any info for our cars...I even went as far as to call Bosch's customer service line, they informed there is no plug referenced for our car as they havent tested them on our car to recommend them, therefore no part # listed, they also informed me the only Suzuki tested was the Vitara...at first I was **** and aggrivated. Then I began to cross reference other cars that used the OEM NGKs...turns out all current Suzukis(except Daewoos) use the same OEM plug.

I went with the same part number as the Vitara and have had great luck with the Platinum2's....Bosch Platinum2 # 4301

Hi thanks for the reply. Yeah does are the same boush plugs that I got. I was afraid to go to the Uridium ones, just because they are to expensive. The only mod I have is an K&N filter that fits on the original airbox. Referint to the other plugs I took a look at the and they seem to be extremely clean execept for the platinum point that seemed to be almost gone. Any imput on that.
Thanks, Harold.

Platinum plugs have a very small elctrode to begin with are you certain it was "almost gone"? This kinda of implies that you think they wore down...a picture would deffinately help.

Sorry no pics of the plugs, I trash them. But since I put the Boush plugs in the car went from 25 MPG to almost 33 in next tank fill up. So there must be something wrong with the plugs (Autolite platinum).

the irridium plugs have to be good for much more than 6000miles, in fact any plug would give much more life. something else is going on.
