Unhappy

MY 2004 AERIO MAKE MORE SQUEKS AND CLUNKS WHEN GOING OVER SPEED BUMPPS OR RIPPLES IN ROAD THAN A MOUSE PLAYING THE DRUMS. IS THERE ANYONE ELSE EXPERIENCING THE SAME PROBLEMS THAT I AMWITH THIER VEHICLE?

I have a 2004 Aerio S with the same squeaking noise. A solution to this problem would be greatly appreciated!

Squeaking over bumps sounds like noisey bushing to me. And a little bit of grease should quiet them, but usually OEM bushings arent as prone to squeaks like poly aftermarket ones are...so I may be off.

The clunk is more than likely the brake pads...they had poor fitment from the factory, and usually noticed when backing out of the driveway first thing in the morning...is that it? But then again I recently got to drive a freinds Aerio and that thing clunked the entire time...I/he suspect the motor mounts.

My car, on the other hand has a squeak when ever I shift weight around in my car...it kinda seems to come from the front hub, my wheel bearings have already been replaced(also I squeak and clunk culpret) but now I suspect the knuckle and/or my brake pads.

I really need to get this addressed, as Im at 27k now and this kinda stuff is only warrantied till 36k miles. Hope some of this info helps you...I will try and find you a complete list of TSBs that you can find your problem and you can bring it to your service department and to their attention.(but I am a bit of a slacker)

We had a similar case with Suzuki Liana 4WD - replacement of mounting bushings of rear stabilizer resolved our problem. Just remember next time you'll inspect your suspension, may be it can help.

One thing you can do that doesnt wreck anything is get some silicone spray and pop off the rear strut covers and rubber cap and spray along the inside and in the middle (not where the bolt is, but along side that. You will see tiny gaps all along the edge)

dont have to spray too much in there. And you might not notice any difference for a while cause that stuff has to creep into all the tiny spaces.

IF the noise persists, then it is bushings

So, is it the motor mounts? I have the same problem since 45k. Cleaning the brake pads only lasts for 2-3 days, then it clunk back. I got desperate and ignored it. Now it's 65k and still clunking.

Its either the spring clips on the pads themselves or its the stablizer joints on the sway bar. The motor mounts shouldnt be a problem at all...ever.

I have a 2007 aerio it only make horrible noises when it is below freeezzzing! It sounds like my suspension falls off when I hit a bump? what can I do about that?
