...are few and far and in between. I been scouring the internet all day for the past week. [Lucky enough I work a job where I can do this.] I don't want to take the time to get them powdercoated. Please help. The only ones I've found that I like so far are the Rota SlipStreams. 16x7 is what I'm looking to get. [Sorry, not a huge fan of big wheels.] Even better if you know of any places in the NorthWest area, since I'm in Washington. Shipping tires and wheels can get so pricey. Also what are your feelings on brands of tires? What do you guys swear by?
The Rota Slipstreams are a good choice in terms of weight -- light, particularly in the 16" size. That's not a bad size, gives you more rubber than a 17 and is smaller, with less rotating mass.
I got my rims and tires from an Ebay vendor as a package deal - he was good to work with. The overall deal made the shipping OK.
allot of co. have a black rim these days just look around a. also most if not all rotas are available in a variety of colors. if you find a style you like ask if it comes in black
The rota slipstreams are you best bang for the buck performance wheels. I've owned 4 sets and am buying another one for my new car. The 16x7s used to be only 13.3lbs but I think they're up to 13.7-14lbs. Either way to get a lighter wheel you'll have to spend at least twice as much and it's still hard to find in our bolt pattern/offset.
Btw all black wheels look much smaller so you may want to consider 17s. What color is your forenza? If it's black I'll see if I can find pics of when I had 16 slipstreams in black on the car.

Now that I've been staring at my wheels, I might want to go with the 17's but nothing bigger than that. My Forenza is blue. [Which I was totally stoked on.] But before I get tires/wheels, I need to get lowering springs. BTW, do you know if I would need to get different shocks with the APEX springs?

I asked that same question, there is no one that makes different shocks for our cars, unless you go coilover... but then you do not need the apex springs. most guys have been going apex with stock shocks without a problem for a while from what i have seen.
You can't go wrong with a 17, I can't see it looking too big esp in black. If you're going for some performance get the 17x7.5" rota slipstreams...that's a great size. I can't remember the offsets they have in that size but if you PM me a link I can tell you which is best. I got lucky and got a set for $455 shipped
