Default Horrible wheel hop

ok soo the ground was wet it was raining...i was leaving a stop light...

gave her some gas and dropped the clutch...well i thought since it was wet she would spin " Wrong "

i got some scarey wheel hop...my dash shook and the front end shook hard aswell...

what can cut down on wheel hop desides a LSD and stiffer motor mounts ?

Incase you didn't know...avoid wheel hop at all costs.

Stiffer suspension helps...like the Apex springs. With apex springs and mount there is rarley any wheel hop. I sell both, the mount is a very limited amount though.

bet it is as simple as your rear struts worn out. Think about it,. They don't wheel hop new so you don't need loads of aftermarket springs etc to stop it. just replace what has worn out..

They're OEM stiffened mounts. I had a few of them for testing stuff a couple years ago, then plently of my compound left over after doing all my mounts last month so I figured I'd get my money back. Those OE mounts are expensive

Yeah it does, usually. Mine did with only 15k miles, which is the earliest I remember doing burn outs.

+1 though, if you have a decent amount of miles on your car replacing the factory worn parts are your best bet. But you might as well get Apex springs while you're at it since installation is almost half the cost

wow...yea i never thought of it that way...but the car has about 6,000 miles on her soo far...and a '07

and the streets are ruff as hell up here...pot holes everywhere...i try to miss them but sometimes people will run your ass over for that..lol

since it snows they really cant repair the roads..as soon as the plow trucks come out they rip chunks out of the streets...

since she's still got the warrenty im going to let the dealership fix the problem...

No wheel hop here., all stock, I do burnouts in the rain up two third gear, like half way down the road lmao.. bad tires or wrong tire pressure can also cause this.
