Default Struts or Shocks?

Quick question:

Do 2004 Forenzas run shocks or struts or both? .__.

And does anyone know of any shocks nonstock that i can look into?

I thought it was shocks, but I'm not sure I know the difference between shocks and struts

I believe it is struts. With shocks, I think you have the shock absorber mounted separate from the spring. There are no aftermarket (nonstock) struts available in north america that I know of.

They shouldn't just bust right away, but if they do......... yah. If you still have warranty I suppose you could put back the stock springs and take it to the dealer and try to get it fixed for free.

if youre concerned about them wrecking your struts, then get the coilovers. they might be pricey, but they'll ride nicer than just the springs...and you can lower it about 3" in stead of just 1.5"....if you ask me, they're worth it. i don't even have them(yet)

But coilvers are deadly expensive... what, at least double or triple the price of the springs i bought... x[

there is a chance that springs will blow the struts because theyre lowering springs so they are now under constant compression. but prob not for a while. if your in no rush (which you should never be when it comes to car parts ) wait and save for the coilovers. also in i think march audacity racing (another forum member) is opening his store and will have other options available for everybody.

Hmmm, well, it was a bad idea to buy those Apex Springs... XD

I guess i should just sell it and get the BMS CAI first? I dont want my ride to be a bumpy one...

well the springs are a good performance upgrade. im just saying take your time save and do it right. right now there are no struts available. usually you would want to change both. there are people on the forum who have been running the springs now for quite a while whith no problems, but you never know.
