i like the falken zx i had on my 18's, those where pretty good tires. i personally love the nankang tires i have on my 20's but you can hear the road noise because of how small the tire is 215/30r20. basically a runflat.

I'd search google for "tire reviews" or something similiar, there are lots of sites out there that rate them and have users do reviews.

Also I'd like to add khumo makes great tires, don't let there crappy OEM brand stray you away from khumo

The Tire Rack - Your performance experts for tires and wheels has a lot of good comparison data too.

After doing some homework and driving in some sloppy weather recently I discovered that the kumhos aren't as bad as I thought they were. Sure they're a tad noisy, but they're not as loud as they could be and provide decent traction in snow (mind you, other than a very expensive all-season or snow tire there aren't many other options in the 15" range, and even less in the 17" range you're looking at).
