Default question about lowering

The last car I dropped (not a reno) went down 1.5" in front and 1.25" in back. It looked sweet. But most of the Reno springs (Apex/Intrax) drop equall amounts front and back. Do you all do this? Does it not make the car look "squatty?"

I have the Intrax springs on my forenza and I didnt get the drop that I wanted. The ride quality is not that great but i dont think the 18's i have with it helps any.

When i installed mine almost a year ago i couldnt get the Apex ones. I would recommend the apex's if you have a choice.

depending on your budget, i'd get the kw coilovers. even just the variant 1's would be quite a bit better than just springs...i just dont have 1500 to pull out of my ass right now

x2.

I'd perfer to give the advice, "just get lowering springs and wait for shocks to come out if your not doing track days or have tons of money" butttt who knows if shocks will ever be available.

So, there are no sport shocks to fit the reno/forenza? That's nice. It's tough tuning a car with no after-market support. I think the coilovers on BMS are way out of my price range. Other than the springs and shocks (which don't exist). What other hardware will I need to purchase before taking my to a shop to get the springs installed. Can the camber be adjusted back to factory specs without a camber kit? Is the camber even adjustable in the back?

the springs is all you need. you could probably do this at your house if you have tools and mechanical know-how. it can be dangerous because the spring is under pressure and you'll need a spring compressor to do it, but autozone will loan you one with a deposit that you can get back by bringing the tool back...you're talking about 500+ bucks for a shop to do it and allign it. my girlfriends dad did it for 100 bucks and i had to go get it alligned(60 bucks).

what is available for our cars that can offer a 2"~2.5" drop. I used the Intrax and they are told to do 1.5, and Apex are only said to do 1.6". I would like to lower my car a little more with out having to cut springs. I told myself that im not going to hack it.
