Default Need Tire and Wheel Advice

Hey,

I have a 2005 forenza witht the stock 15" steel rims and stock hankook 195/55HR15 tires. I am looking to get new tires and new rims to replace them but dont know really much about wheels. What size can I use without having to make any changes to the car that also will not effect the speedometer, mileage, etc. I was looking at tirerack.com and they have 15", 16", 17". I am lost when it comes to this stuff. Any help would be great. Thanks

16s=45, 17s=40, and 18s=35.

If you wanna upgrade performance and looks I like 215/40/17. I think its the best balance.

Thanks for the advice. What is the bolt pattern on the stock wheels and if I was to go with 17 inch wheels, it would need the same bolt pattern?

Bolt pattern never changes, its 4x114.3. and I dont remember the hub, but thats not as important. Any tire shops that installs it will be able to get the right hubcentric rings. Offset depends on what width of a wheel you go with

I'm in a similar situation now. Looking to replace the stock tires and rims but don't know about going 16 or 17". What did you end up buying?
