Question wheel offset

whats a good offset for the reno im looking into getting some new wheels

on the basics 15'' wheels that comes with our cars the offsets are +45 but from what I remember you can use between +40 to +45 I actually have +42

Yes they are.

Offset of the wheels depends on the width. plus 38-48 will work for almost any width but for the best looks choose an offset that pushes the wheel out as much as possible without sticking out of the fender.

Odd, The rims on my civic fit just fine? But i was drinking alot that night?

the 4 X 100 and 4 X 114.3 are the lug patterns. the guy wants to know the offset... with more or less offset, the wheels move inward or outward. 0 offset means the mounting surface of the wheel is in the center of the wheel...the less offset you have, the more lip you have. or maybe its the other way around...

either way, look it up on some online wheel shops and a lot of them have offset explained and illustrated

my wheels have a 42 offset and they fit just inside the wheel wells. if i were to grab the stage 3 suspension that danny has, i could tuck my wheels under my fenders. with too much of a different offset, i'd either rub on my suspension or rub on my fenders
