How are the Intrax springs? Does anybody have them on their car?

For those that have lowered their cars...
when you had it done, did you buy the springs first or go straight to whomever for the whole job?

I ask because I'd like to lower my car... but so far only went to one place - Les Schwab - and they said they don't have any information on what springs to use to lower it...

Uh? As far as I know there is no brick and motor business that sells springs for our car. So you have to buy them online first and then go to a shop that does custom car work.

Key word is custom. The big chains will not touch anything not bought from them. Alittle insurance, alittle in house

And even then a lot of custom shops will not work on "unknown" cars like ours.

Well, I found a place in Portland, OR that sells Intrax springs that will work... though, I'm not sure if they're "for" the Reno, or if they just "fit" the Reno.

Bah, I will just need to bug everybody to see if they'd be interested in doing the job...

I bet they "fit" and are not "for", because we don't drive a Honda so the likely hood of a shop having such a part is next to none. If I was you I would push them and get them to spill on the springs.

Thats what I had to do to find a shop that was willing to do the job. I went thru like 10 shops before I found one that said yes. $150 and 2 and half hours later my springs where installed.
