my friend has an extra pair of racing hart universal rims w/ brand new tires on them but they are 18's. would that work on the forenza?

205-225/35/18 would be the size. Or 225-245/30/18. Anything bigger than 225 would need a good fitmit to fit right.

I have 18's and they rub on the gas lines plastic cover.

Everytime you go over a bump you think your cars gonna die.

You just don't have the right fitmit then. I could fit 18s on my car and it's lowered 4-5". Then again my 16 track wheels rub even with the suspension stiffened completly. It all depends on fitmit. My 17x7.5" fit better than my 16x7"

Offset for example, tire size, and width of the wheel.

I could probably fit 18x7.5 wheels with about a +45 offset (would ahve to really look into it with my car since its so low) and even put on a set of 225/35/18 tires. If the tires didnt fit 215s would for sure.

so are we saying fitment meaning fittings sizing adjustments
or is fitmit a word that I dont understand. cause I get offset though sometimes I get upset too but thats another post
