Default V3 KW suspension reveiw/photos

Went to Cali about a month ago and had BMS put the KW suspension on. Wow. Some info about the kit first the V3 (3-way adjustable) kit which is what I have MSRPs at $1925 and the V1 (height adjustable only) kit MSRPs $1325.

I've been playing around with the adjustments and am very impressed with what you can do with it. Right now I had it as low as I can get it while still being able to load the car up with 5 people. Though if I'm about to take my gf on a date I pop the hood and lower the rear seats, use a little tool that came with the kit and make a full turn or two to soften it up and it rides very smooth and nice.

Currently I have 16x7" wheels with +35 offset in the front and +40 offset in the rear. The tires are 225/45/16 hankook ventus Rs-2. If I had smaller tires I could lower it much more but these tires are very wide. I plan on putting 17x7.5" and 205/40/17s (will give it that stretched tire like alot of drift cars have) on by next weekend then lowering the car a bit more and doing some more fender work. I cut 90% of the lip off the rear which took maybe an hour...without getting rid of the lip you can't lower it in the rear much cuz the lip is HUGE. I also cut about 40% of the lip off the front but the front lip didn't get in the way much. I got a bunch of spacers to play with the offset a bit more so I can lower the car as much as possible. Right behind the front wheels the car is about 3.25" off the ground and does bottom out on speeds bumps if I'm not careful.

I can tune the suspension however I want, plus it's extreamly easy. Lowering all four corners an 1" would only take an hour max. Other than the obvious that the handling is INSANE, it's much easier and safer to brake hard into corners. Before the car would like to get upset and unstable feeling when braking into a corner but now it just wants more. There is one corner I like to take at 120mph on the freeway and before the KW the car would lean so much I felt like the inside wheels were going to lift off the ground. Today I took it at 120mph and there was no body roll. The stiffness is only about 45%.

Anyways I'll let the pictures do the rest:
Ahhh! what the heck. K, suzuki-forums won't lemme upload them through them cuz they are 6 times bigger than allowed and I can't get on 3 of the only three picture gallerys I know of cuz they only allow one account per computer... two of which are my gfs (dunno password) and the other I can't remember my password. Someone wanna upload em for me?

Danny

Well that's the best I could do. Sorry they are so small. If you look closly in some of the pictures you will notice some things hidden.

I parked on the end of my driveway for some of the pictures to make the car lower. The exhaust is about 1/2-1" off the ground and the picture that looks like I'm standing on a ladder is just because the cars so low.

Hot hot hot.

Except *cough*wing*cough*

Heh. I'm teasing. Did I miss you talking about getting a body kit? Or were my eyes deceiving me?

Some days I like the wing other days I don't. With a body kit and flared fenders I think it would go well. Plus I can't hide how much it helps on the track.

Yes... I'm hoping to get a buncha body kits in the near future.

Thanks again.

In a few days I'll get pictures with my new wheels. Also be expecting a photoshoot with my car and gf. We're going to try to find some nice backgrounds and stuff like that.
