Default tires

I hate the gap between the tire and the car. Whats the largest size tires I could put on my '06 Forenza or is there any other way i could get rid of that gap?

You dont want to get bigger tires, that'll change alot. It'll make your speedometer wrong, change gearing, hurt performance, and hurt gas mileage.

Lowering springs will lower your car up to 1.5" all around (I recommend apex springs) or for alot more money and better performance KW coil-overs and you can lower the car as much as you want.

+1 to Danny's post.

You want to lower the car, not fill in the space with empty rubber. Bigger rubber is for off road (and hot rods). For street and performance, you want a smaller sidewall on the tire, which means lower profile. Slightly larger rims with slightly lower tires and MUCH lower springs will make a nice difference.

I agree with Danny, (not that he said it here, but) I love the look of wheels tucked in behind the fender.

You could spend $400-500 on bigger tires or go with lowering springs for not much more $. The biggest problem with up sizing the tires is the speedometer and ABS if you have it. Going from the P195/55r15 to a P205/60r15 would give you another 1.25" in diameter. That makes your speedometer off by 6%. When it says you are going 60mph you would be going 64. That difference in wheel speed can confuse the ABS computer also. All in all it is not recommended.

Ok, I have not installed my Apex springs, so this comparison is all rim
Before

After

The look alone in the gap changed with the different rims, but my over all diamiter is the same.
I know black on clacks hard to see

It will be better to drop the car like others have said than to put on bigger tires, especially when you don't have mods on the car to power the bigger tires.

I dont understand, increasing the size of the rubber makes the diameter bigger right? its the same when you put 17" rims, it increases the diameter right? so its better just to have the stock size rims and tires and just drop the car???? wont dropping the car ruin the tie rod, sispension bushing, etc?
