I'm more intrested in people that have at least 225width tires and 7.5" wheels or more. I want to put 245/45/16 tires on the car but not sure if it will rub to much. I plan on rolling the fenders and im pretty sure with that they'd fit but I wanna know if they'll fit before that. I might have to have them on the car on the track for an hour or two before I roll the fenders.

Who has 225 or bigger tires? On what width rim? what suspension upgrades? Any problems?

I know BMS has some rubbing with there 215/40/17 (if I remember right) on a 17x7.5" wheel on the sema car. But its a bit lower than mine is right now. Chip if you could comment more that'd help. Wheres it rub? how bad? I think the azenis RT-615 is a bit wider than the tires I'm going with, hankook rs-2

Dug up some info to help get opinions.

azenis rt-616 (what BMS sema car has on a 7.5" width wheel)
215/40/17
overall diameter-23.9
section width-8.7
tread width-7.4

hankook ventus rs-2

245/45/16
overall diameter-24.6
section width-9.6
tread width-8.7

225/45/16
overall diameter-23.9
section width-8.9
tread width-8

215/45/16
overall diameter-23.6
section width-8.4
tread width-7.6

215/40/17
overall diameter-23.8
section width-8.6
tread width-7.6

So far I've had the 215/40/17 and 215/45/16 hankooks on my car. I've also had the old azenis RT-215 in 215/45/16. I did managed to get them all to rub on the track before the sway bars. None seamed any worst than others. Now that I got the sway bars I havnt manged to get them to rub once on the street.. and I've been trying :P The rt-615 seam a tiny bit bigger overall than the hankooks. I think with rolled fenders I'll be okay but I'm worried about without them. Currently my car isnt as low as BMS sema car is though.. but it will be in the future when I get the coil-overs.

The section width will change depending on the size of wheel the tire is mounted on. That needs to be considered as well. I honestly don't know if it will rub or not. That's a big jump in width from stock.

Well I went with 225 cuz I dont wanna be stuck with the tires then having to buy expensive toyos at the track. I'm getting new wheels again soon anyways, moving up to 17 to fit the bigger brakes.
