Default 08 forenza vs. New altima 2.5 sedan= tie

Tonight I got on the highway, with very light traffic, as I was about to merg over i see this 'I think 6 gen' 2.5 S altima, I was in 2nd and put it to the floor so did he. I had to slow down to get over, I shifted to 4th as got behind him. Then all the sudden he takes off. So I downed it to 3rd and the chase began. Needless to say I was not going to catch him. That is till we got to a pack of cars, I took my time getting through, when i see him blast through cutting people off and stuff. I finally get through like 2 minutes later.
He is holding his speed at 80mph, I get next to him and downshift again to 3rd, we both got on it, he had a few seconds before I realized he was going. he was able to get in front of me but after about 100mph we stayed neck and neck. Then at about 115-120mph we had to slow down because another pack of cars. and on this chase went, about a total of 30miles worth. About 4-5 true all out race and he couldn't shake me, until above 120. It surprised the hell out of me. a 2.0L keeping up with a 2.5L. I know they are a few hundred pounds heavier but they also have 175hp/180lbft. I am at a loss for words. What do you all think?

if he was really racing you i dont think you would have beaten him def not if it was the v6 version:The 3.5-liter 24-valve DOHC V6 is now rated at 265-plus horsepower* and 255 lb-ft of torqu
2.5-liter DOHC 16-valve 4-cylinder producing 165-plus horsepower and 170-plus lb-ft of torque
The new Altima is available with Nissan?s advanced Xtronic CVT? (Continuously Variable Transmission) or 6-speed manual transmissions and a choice of the award-winning VQ-series 3.5-liter V6 or powerful 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engines.
you might be abble to keep up with a few mods nice race though

Nissan makes great engines for sure, my roommate has an 02 maxima with the 3.5L, it's fast as hell. I'm not 100% if the altima was on it all the way, because he kept going up the highway, but I know he was moving.

The Atlima does weight more than our car, but not by that much tho

2008 2.5L Atlima - 3112lbs
2008 Forenza - 2756lbs

Both weights are for the manuals.
