Default Reno vs. Sentra

So I was on my way home from school cruising down on 840 in TN, when I see a 5th generation Sentra driving on the fast lane. I was cruising at about 85-90 and he was going at about 80-85, so I stay on the right lane and started to pass him. I wasn't in the mood of racing and stuff, but the stupid kid wanted something. While I was passing he speeds up just enough to stay side by side, and I kept on cruising... Few seconds later he started to rev up and get ahead and come back to me, It was night and I couldn't see if it was an SE-R or v-spec, but I saw an R in the back (??). I knew I would not get a chance with both of those! So next time he got ahead I gave in and droped to 4th and took off, he tried for a bit but my car was making some lenght pretty quick and he gave up. I slowed down after hiting about 123mph, and he kept on trying to reach me but I made sure I stayed ahead...
By the way, I only have a K&N air filter without the black box after the filter, and aftermarket exaust. I get an average of 30mpg cruising 80-85 and being easy on acceleratin compared to 26-27 before the K&N filter and the back box.

Nice! Apparently he wasn't rolling in an SE-R... Or he was just a bad driver.

Before you say that the SE_R can eat our car any time of day, the 5th gen SE-R has 165HP stock. If you have read some of these races we have posted here some of our wins where over cars with more power than our car. I am not trying to flame you or anything suzukirallyready, but I am just saying just because a car has more HP than ours on paper does not mean it will win in a race against our car.

Good points, and I know more hp doesnt mean much really.. I think power to weight ratio is really whats important also how well those hp's get to the ground. hell I beat my friends unibody camaro because he cant hook it up for crap.. and as far as the se-r goes its power to weight ratio is good. and I never raced his but after being in the car with him I think hed stomp me.

+1 on the camaro part. My friend has an 97 and i dust him all day long off the line and all the way up through 4th gear. It's when he gets scooting that he catchs and passes me. These cars are quick. It'll be interesting to see what the fastest time you can get on one with major mods is.

Ya his aint runnin to hot either tho so ya. lol. But ya I was just thinking today if we could port cylinder heads to increase air coming in and air going out to about 22 percent more then it is, with a couple internal parts all motor this car could be quite impressive, am i right?
