The engine is already shown its worth in the WTCC racing in Europe. Heck the WTCC lacetti/forenza got has the fastest time lap in a track in Germany. Heres the link to the times:

Instead of porting the cylinder heads, how about replacing everything in the engine with racing spec parts, along with a racing spec fuel line and ECU and tune the hell out of it. My guess is you can hit 150HP+ with just this setup alone. And gut out the car some as well put in the tranny with 6 gears and with some serious tuning you will have one hell of a car on your hands.

very impressive but this is the optra correct, 1.8?

Optra is the Canada name for our car. Lacetti is the Euro name for our car. And I do think they have the 1.8 version of our engine.
