Default Slaughtered a Staturn Ion

On the way home from dropping off a friend from the strip club, this Ion flew past me. Since the freeways where basically wide open, I gun it and caught up to him in seconds (the Ion was 100% stock). Then I flew past him. The Ion seemed to try and keep up with me, but he had no chance.

At one point I got behind him to advoid traffic. The IOn guns it once it opened up again. This time I give the Ion a head start. I let him get a good 5 car lengths ahead then gunned it. With in a good 30 seconds I caught up and past the Ion.

As it has been mentioned here, the EcoTec engines are a bit over rated.

Theres a guy at my work that has one. He used that carsponsorships.com thing to pimp it out too. He's got a turbo and some other things and ALOT of suspension stuff. He says he barely had to pay for alot of it but you run the risk that your getting test parts sometimes.

I am not trying to be sexist, but most girls can not handle fast cars.

i agree. i don't let anyone drive my car. ever. plain and simple

i looked on saturn's website and their numbers are pretty low. they say that the redline is supposed to be better than the base ion, but it's the same engine unless you get the upgraded package with the 2.4 instead of the 2.2. 175hp vs 145hp. i thought they were supposed to be turbo...

I know the Ion Redline is supercharged. I don't know about the Skyline. I also have no clue as to what is offered after market for Saturn's either so its quite possible that there is a turbo kit that gets them 200 hp or more, but that is my wild guess.

Edit: Heres a link to the 2005 Ion Redline;

Full Test: 2005 Saturn Ion Red Line

It says it makes 205 HP and its s/c.
