Default Dumb People

This story is nothing about my driving, my car, or my abilities. It's about how you know your cars limits before you drive like an idiot, and to look before you leap. That said My friend has a mid 90's Camaro RS. We pull up to a light, he thinks he's hot s*** and TRYS to beat me off the line when the light changes, instead i just roll right by him as he roasts the rubber off his tires and pisses the cop off sitting behind him. I pull over at the next gas station and wait for him. He pulls in 20 minutes later screaming how he got three tickets and the cop is such a dick. If you can't see the moral of the story, enjoy you're tickets.

lol.

Reminds me of the time some kid with several people in his mustang reved his engine next to me at a red light with two cops a couple cars behind us. He spun his tires and made a tad bit of smoke, full throttle till about 60mph in a 40mph zone...needless to say the cops go after him. They pull a few cars lengths infront of me, slow down behind me, and pull me over....why? cuz my front turn signals might have been too blue and my headlight was out. I was on my way home from work, and the headlight went out on the way too work...I told the officer that and still got a ticket. I paid the ticket, but it went to my insurance, and about a year later it still costs me $55 every 6months on insurance.

What's more dangerous, a kid peeling out in traffic and speeding probably a criminal amount of speed or me, with a headlight out. I'm stil bitter about that.

well i got pulled over for not stopping at a yeild sign lol. The cop was radering the people turning to a bridge, and i come off of a back road with a yeild sign going onto traffic. And next thing i see is red and blue lights flashings and then pulled over. When he got up to me he said boy why did you run that stop sign? i said it was a yeild sign and he went back and looked at it and then apogized for pulling me over no reason. lol

I've been blessed to only have gotten one ticket in my life but it was a duzy. I got pulled over doing 100 in a 70. Unfortunately what killed me was it was an active work zone. Where this is 20 over is automatic court appearance, in a work zone is a $300 dollar fine, Active work zone is another 100, the speed limit was 50 so double over was double the fine. After lawyering up and balling my eyes out... a $1500 dollar ticket, 16months of SIS and 100 hours of community service.

I got pulled over for 130mph in a 65mph zone; I passed a cop....didnt see his bike behind a car. I got lucky though, had some people in the car and it was a single bike officer at 3am so he didn't want to arrest me, so he had to make it a civil ticket, so cuz of that he wrote "100+". 21mph or more over the limit or 86mph+ is considered criminal. I nearly got away with only a $150ish fine and 2points on my license but at the last min the judge noticed the speed and bumped it up to 4 or 6 points and $300 fine.

To date my highest speeding ticket is 100 in a 65 on the freeway. I flew past the cop and he pulled me over real quick. He was the first cop I have ran into with no personality at all and took forever to write the ticket.

My last ticket which is the one that piss me off is one that was writen for 75+ in a 65 on the freeway. Where I live 75 use to be fine as long it was safe and people obeyed the unwriten rules at that speed. I believe it was last year CHP (California Highway Patrol), started to crack down on people doign 75 or more on the freeway.

I was actually going 80ish when I went by the CHP car that was doing around 70 in the lane he was in. He was only able to clock me at 75, but he knew I was going a tad be faster but let me off some because I was going to work to get tickets.

I got out of a 118 mph ticket cause the judge didnt belive a 1991 cabriolet could go that fast..and he said he personally knew that cause he owned a rabbit convertible once and as he said it couldnt get out of its own shadow..All I paid was court cost. Funny guy he explained no contest to one guy like this.."FELLER IT MEANS YA DID IT BUT YAWS JUST DONT WANT TO FESS UP TO IT" Man I love kentucky..lots of twisties, no smog nazi's and they still have ashtrays in the court room.
