2.25 cat-back exhaust, spectre CAI, custom headers, AEM standalone unit, MSD ignition, and some NGK plugs. That is def not 190hp but that was not his claim. The power I'm sure is a big difference from stock and much better response.

ZIPPER: as for you questioning the MSD ignition talk to kinky I'm pretty sure he's got it set up in his forenza...soon to be Foreno.

I dont know anything about kink's ignition but Im running a DIS-2 (thanks to the guys at Speednation for the advice) and also the GM blaster coil, which I may add is not the worth the energy to install even with there so called plug and play feature. But the 8.5 mm wires help a lot, a lil overkill but hey, once i build up the motor theyll be a nice touch.

I know he did not claim that. I said at most he would have 190. My guess that he more has 140 under the hood.

Zipper, I couldn't resist with the Foreno comment, I had seen you post it in an earlier post and thought it was clever.

These cars of ours would have to get a heckuva lot of treatment to loose over 3 seconds to match the Monte, never mind if it were a SS with the V8 good for just over a 14 second 1/4-mile. Is it possible the car he raced was a riced LS with SS badging?

*sigh* - I miss my Monte Carlo.

Like I said some skill lol. Like you said it does not take a not of skill to push the petal down. It could have been an LS rebaged as a SS for looks and nothing else. But even then our chances of beaten it are not that much better. But this is why I am question this race. If the Carlo was an auto and a real SS it should have won easy, unless the guy was scared to floor it, or was trying to do something that was not needed. Or he was playing around.

cause I know what Im talking about? Please get a clue... Street racing is not good.. A 1-2 gear from a stop is one thing but a MILE that this is about is way to fast for the street..Take it to the track..
You will be surprised to see just how slow some cars are..

I will have it on a track the second. See how the car realy handels with noissue of traphic, and cops, and generaly in a safe eviroment.
It might not be a power demon, but then again, the 84-87 Corolla was known for leaving Skylines, RX-7s, and a few other cars in the bust in a technical battle.
(I want one of those GT-S Corollas to do up. Still used in drift styled races)
