First off its not a race, just open track... inurance doesnt cover you if your in a race or timed so untill I get another car I wont go there.

Secondly that car has three times the hp and brakes/suspension to go with it...I stayied with him for a few laps here and there but he was long out of sight by the end of the session.

Yup it looks like one. It is also not even in the same class as our car. So the fact that Kinky was able to get semi close to such a car is pretty dam good I say.

Yup, like having a Grand Am Koni Challenge ST class car go up against a GS class. Still, they usually share the track during the race. Pretty cool video though.

I've past much faster cars like a porches GT3 or whatever...some like 200k one. All there names sound the same to me. Its just as much about driver skill than anything else

I totally agree, but I was assuming that if driver skill was the same, a modded 350Z will win. Plus isn't it in a totally different class than our car?

Neither one of our cars fall into a competitive class for NASA roadracing...as modded as he is and me we'd fall into the catch all class where anything goes.

I found out that they are finally opening a SCCA track close to me here and have been thinking about taking my Reno out to play around. I am hoping that they also start gymkhana there as well. I hope that some time soon I can start working on finding another Miata body for the 13b rotary engine and tranny I have sitting in the garage. That would be a fun track/autocross/drifting toy. I need to sit down and figure out class rules and stuff for SCCA. Looks like a damn good time though! Congrats on making your car that competitive!

I recommend any organization other the SCCA...I've had more problems the few times I've run with them than anyone else.

2ndly miatas seam to make horrible drift cars...I've seen several very experiance drivers try to drift miatas and still haven't seen one do it yet. The cars were set up for roadracing but so are alot of the 240s I see out there drifting.
