My '06 forenza came with kuhmo ecsta hp4's, h-rating. Also, I have yet to search for the electronic limiter though, if you know what i mean, but i will soon enough.

They have always had speed limiters on em since they tires are non speed rated and its a libility nightmare if the car can do more then the tires are rated for and the tires heat up and blow and you crash. Im involved with libel cases all the time. Trust me its 112 mph. No more.. I don't care what the speedo says..

Better check again lawyer man... the ECU has NO speed governer on it. Not a single bit of code of any description provides that parameter. No Daewoo has ever come with one. Mainly... because it's NOT required by law and it's more money in development that the economy car company doesn't want to invest. The liability of the company to provide rated tires within the legal speed limits provides this. No where in the United States are there roads with posted speed limits higher than that and thus no laws exist about it.

You seriously think a 9000 dollar car is gonna have features like that? Besides, most won't go that fast from the factory.

By the way, perhaps you mean LIABILITY... not libel. Seems if you are involved with such cases all the time you'd know what the crap you are saying. Way to stick that foot right between your manible and skull. Libel is a form of lying... oh snap, say it ain't so!

I did a search on the Daewoo-Tech forums to see if we do have one, and the only limiter was a rev/RPM one. Heres the posts that say this:

:: View topic - Does our Daewoos have speed governor?
:: View topic - How to remove revs limiter?
:: View topic - governer?????

XL7Limited - Unless Kinky removed the limiter which to my knowledge he has not done, how else do you explain him saying that he has basically hit 130? But what do you mean by non speed rated tires? Do you mean the speed rating for the actual tire? If so the tires I had stock where Hankook Optrima H420 and it comes in H,T, and V speed ratings. If there is a speed limit of 112 then it be H right? I forgot the speed rating was on them and I could not find any info on this.

no. I mean Libel...

When you graduate high school come on back and we will discuss more.

And its a FACT whether you stomp your feet or not that the speed limit is 112.. Suzuki gets sued not Daewoo if you crash... Use your brain... Suzuki is responsible for the Reno not Deawoo..

whether you choose to believe it or not..

the price of the car has ne bearing because of a few lines of code written...

I wil repost 2 tests to prove a 112 mph top speed cause you musta missed em before..

Performance &#8212 2007 Suzuki Reno Base — Yahoo! Autos <== C&D who actually does top speed runs

Suzuki Reno Automobile Review Gayot <== read the word GOVERNED next to 112 mph..

After reading everyones, stated facts and opinions here is what I see..... XL for the two links that you are pulling your info it is possible that the 2005 and before may not have been governed. One link is for a 2006 other 2007. Also can a stock Reno surpass 112 if not governed i believe it would; not by much but it would. I have ran a 2004 Aerio sx pass 120 and a 2005 Reno pass 120 believe it or not the Reno was faster up top then the Aerio, I do not believe the suzukis were governed till 2006 and beyond. Does anyone have any links to a 2005 or before Suzuki.
