it does not matter what tires are on the car now. It matters what was on the car NEW.. What dio you think, if you put Z rated tires on the top speed limiter magically dissapears?????

I almost have 28,0000 miles on me car. Part of the reason why my tires are so low is the way I drive, and two they where cheap. I am going to replace them with the Kumho ECSTA ASX which only have V and Z speed ratings. The set I am looking at is V as I am not going to break 130 MPH with the modding I want to do and two why get tires made for Ferrari's when I am not going to even reach those speeds.

when I say a kid I mean they way you act. not an age.. Think.. 126 hp is 126 hp. It does not matter what is in Europe racing its 126 hp HERE. And you have 126 hp. I already know about what Suzuki is campainging in the rally car series over there. Thats not what we are talking about.

What doi th emotor mounts have to do with top speed? Boy you have a whole to learn about cars. Its scary in fact.. motor mounts under strain?? Is that sorta like the 'manifold welds' letting go with too much nos?

As far as the speed limiter there may be one in the 2006+ models. For the second time I drive a 2005 Reno. The Reno/Forenza models made for the 2006 model year and beyond are not totally the same as mine. And I understand the legal side of things as my uncle works for Yahama and he has to deal with their auto divison a lot. Also my car has 126HP stock, not 130HP. I also stated that when I hit 120 MPH the car was not stable and I backed off when I hit that speed. As the car was semi shaking and could not hold the speed that well. And what I remebered it felt that the suspension and possibly the motor mounts where under more strain that they where ment for. So it was not like I was crusing at 120 no problem.

Na I was thinking some hot chick would be at my door. But seriously, Kinky has stated that there does not appear to be a speed limiter on the 2004 and 2005 models. I have said that there may be a speed limiter on the 2006+ models I don't know and no one here with a 2006+ model has said they have hit that speed in their car. So until someone does, I would agree that there is most probably a speed limiter in the 2006+ models.

How the heck am I acting like a kid? But what ever. I understand 126 HP is 126 HP. That does not limit how fast you can go given you have enough road and the conditions allow you to go fast enough (gotta love physics). Suzuki does not rally the Reno in Europe, I believe its the Ingis or something like that. GM races the Lacetti (the European version of our car) in the WTCC which is a road race. The reason I brought it up as an example of someone taking our car and racing it. Yes it is in Europe.

Heres the site to the team that races the Reno in rally races.

Boshart Motorsports Store :: Home

And guess what they are in California.

Here is Suzuki's racing page:

SUZUKI SPORT Co., Ltd [English]

If you can find where they race the Forenza in WTCC I will stop.

I never said that I was a car bluff. I said from what I remeberd when I hit 120 MPH (according to the spedomter) the car was semi shaking with the front doing the most of it. But to think that I am not going to tubro or put NOS in my car.....

stop feeding the trolls please. i think there might be a limiter on my 06 reno...ive got 3 mods on the beast and i havent had it break 120...i dont stare at the speedo when i'm driving fast, so i dont know if its barely moving or stops where i was(about 110...which would verify the limiter at 112)

ok. but trust me... The speed limiter is there too in 05... Speed limiters have been on cars for over 20 years on non speed rated tire equipped cars..

How the heck am I being a troll?

XL7Limited - Unless Kinky removed the limiter which to my knowledge he has not done, how else do you explain him saying that he has basically hit 130? But what do you mean by non speed rated tires? Do you mean the speed rating for the actual tire? If so the tires I had stock where Hankook Optrima H420 and it comes in H,T, and V speed ratings. If there is a speed limit of 112 then it be H right? I forgot the speed rating was on them and I could not find any info on this.
