let's rewind to the part about 100 mph at night... I don't think the cops were the ones that took things out of bounds.
I ride too... and I get sick of guys that ride stupid. If you couldn't see well enough to see cops on the side of the road, why do you think you can see well enough to ride safely on a public road at 100 MPH? Save that garbage for the track. Don't risk everyone else's neck when you decide to hang it out a little.
Don't mean to jump down your throat about it, but I just had a guy wheelie up behind me on the offramp and almost hit me... Little pissed at my fellow riders at the moment.
You have every right to jump down my throat, but you must be really dense to believe that the officers were in the right. They fabricated statements, fabricated locations, and pretty much fabricated the whole police report. And it was all convenient for them, since they also TOOK NO VIDEO, AND NO AUDIO!! i know i was in the wrong that night, but the officers just wanted a scapegoat becuase (dispatch tapes proved)two other bikes had evaded them earlier that night. And there are a few other factors. One, i was alone on the road that night, I wasn't risking anyone elses lives on the road--just mine which is my choice, and i was well within my capabalities as a rider, the officers even said so in the trial. I had analyzed the risk and decided to take it for the moment. I could have chosen a much more dangeous area to run a little fast, such as city streets, or neighborhoods, but i was on the freeway where 10-15 even 20 miles an hour over the speed limit is very common, especially here in the phoenix area. The Most i should have gotten that night was a hefty speeding ticket, heck when i saw them AND STOPPED, i figured i might even be heading to jail for the night for doing 94 in a 65. But did i ever expect to be charged with a felony, for trying to flee from a law enforcement vehicle? NO! So save your words for that person that almost reared you today doing a wheelie. All i was doing that night was "going a reasonable speed for the conditions" as it is written in montana i believe but don't quote me. And yes i know i am not in montana, but that is beside the point.
Oh and one more thing. You can't tell me you have never ran any of your vehicles upwards of 100 at any time in your life.

Uh I am way ahead of you zero. I saw the LCD lights on the Irvine cop cars when I use to work down there. I have only see one or two cop cars in my own city with the LCD lights.
You have every right to jump down my throat, but you must be really dense to believe that the officers were in the right. ...
I'm not, but thanks ... I didn't say they were in the right. Sounds like they were way out of bounds on the deal.

But you never know that for sure.

I live in Mesa, and traffic does speed. And you weren't that much faster than freeway speeds, it's true - it was a lower-risk action than swerving through traffic, but still...

I hope they dismissed that one - it sounds like there is ample reasonable doubt that that was your intention.

Believe me, he heard a few.

I'll readily admit I have, but I'm not proud of it. And I haven't done it since I was young, dumb, and invincible. Now I'm older and dumb, but I know I'm not invincible anymore. I've had the bike cruising at 90, but that was in Montana, Oregon, Washington, Idaho... nothing but empty road. Same deal - analyzed the risk, and took it. So I know where you're coming from.

i think thats entrapment

No they didn't dismiss it. He got on the stand, he said that i did it, i got up on the stand, i said i didn't and the people of phoenix believed the officer. The rest is history, and phoenix has another criminal living among them...not proud of that by ANY means.

Glad i am not the only one. But i'll admit that i take too many risks open-armed, and this incindent has definatley slowed me down, for the time being.

Not a felony, just "criminal speeding" which is a misdemeanor, or something like that, but they can arrest you for it, but no felony.

why speed on Pacific Coast Highway? Thats asking for a ticket

You sure? The first time I got a criminal speeding I remember the office saying "Are you sure there are no drugs in the car? If we find drugs/alcohol it will move from a class xx felony to a xx felony"
I think.
The judge and cops are idiots...if you wanted to run even for a second you would have. You have a damn bike its not like you could even try..you'd just be gone. I know people that have outran cops countless times on bikes less than half your size.

What happened that night? did you get just a ticket? If so, then i seriously doubt it is a felony. Cops will not let someone committing a felony go. I think he was just trying to scare you that's all. Well, now that i think about it, it could be a class 6 felony, which, by all practical purposes is a glorified misdemeanor. I know this one guy who was stopped doing 120 in 35. He was taken to jail for the night, but he didn't have to go through the whole 6 month ordeal of trying to fight it, he saw the judge once, as if it were a ticket, and all he got was a misdemeanor. But i'm no lawyer, so i cannot say 100%
