The new 2006/07 Chevrolet Impalas.
You realise the Police Impalla use to uses the Corvette Engine and Tranny. right? Those, though heavyer then a vette, still are fast.
Currently, though, you cant get them like that. They just have the 3.9L 3900 V6 engine.
The Ford Crown Vic Intercepter are 4.6L OHC SEFI V8 (250 HP) as ordered from ford for the 05-07 model, and posably earlyer.
What is realy starting to gain popularity is the New Dodge Charger interceptor. They come stock with the 3.5-liter V6 engine with 250 hp, but your police will probably upgrade to the 5.7L HEMI® V8 with Multi-Displacement System - 340 hp for the charger.

I know in the richer city near me they got 10 chargers when they came out...I think with the V6 but it was upgraded for more hp slightly along with a couple toher changes here and there.

Guy in security that used one. Not the most reliable source.
My Reference for the 3.9L 3900 V6 engine is from GM Fleet's site its self

I cant say for sure I was going that fast but it was over 100mph when I cop zoomed by me between AZ and CA...man I got luck.

Also once on a local freeway I was doing about 80mph when a cop went by me at what I wanna say was 120 but its hard to judge. I do remember racing a guy with a cop car...the type that most cops still have in this state. It looked stock except maybe lowered and at about 120 when I was pretty much topped out (long ago) he was pulling really strong.
Cops here in AZ will chase anyone. I was doing close to 100 on my bike, blasted by a couple cops on the side of the road which i didn't see due to the "tunnel vision" effect of riding at 11:30 at night, and two miles later they had caught up to me. Yes i stopped, but was arrested for trying to run--a class five felony! The cops here are bigger ciriminals than most of the citizens of phoenix metro area combined!

What city?

I have to disagree...I've ran into mostly resonable cops, few cools ones, and just as few horrible cops.

let's rewind to the part about 100 mph at night... I don't think the cops were the ones that took things out of bounds.

I ride too... and I get sick of guys that ride stupid. If you couldn't see well enough to see cops on the side of the road, why do you think you can see well enough to ride safely on a public road at 100 MPH? Save that garbage for the track. Don't risk everyone else's neck when you decide to hang it out a little.

Don't mean to jump down your throat about it, but I just had a guy wheelie up behind me on the offramp and almost hit me... Little pissed at my fellow riders at the moment.

I am just saying the Impalas are ugly cars and look more like luxary than sporty.
