Why?!
Damn.
I have to say that the most frustrating drivers out there are the ones who will not race you...
Well, at least, I was rather confounded.
My boyfriend and I were driving on the freeway to Seattle when we ran into an `06 Mercedes SLR McLaren (she was a smexy car, by the way).
We messed (or perhaps it was vice versa) around, trying to get the driver to race us. Honestly, I figured he'd get sick of us dinking around and just smoke us.
But we'd end up getting ahead of him, minutes later he'd finally catch up, only to draw even. Even with my boyfriend revving the engine at him, honking, and staying even, the driver wouldn't truly race us.
There was one point where he started advancing from behind, but we smoked him.
I'm kind of confused because I have my doubts about this escapade. We didn't care if he'd tank us...we were more interested in seeing what my car is capable of. But as far as I could tell, the guy wasn't even trying. My boyfriend has his own doubts, thinking perhaps he was worried about trying because it'd be very sad being whipped by a Suzuki.
What do you guys think?
Of course, I'm not explaining what happened very well. It's different when you're right there. To repeat myself, I would have thought he'd have put us in our place so many times...but he didn't. And that is so frustrating! With all of the traffic going north, which wasn't bad to begin with, we had so many clear openings to really get our cars going past 110mph. I just can't believe a car like that wouldn't show us how stupid we were for even trying to race.
