Default 05 titan, v-tec integra, and top speed run

Yet again, some more. I'll start with the v-tec intergra. It had an exhaust, intake, lowered, wheels, ect?. We both sucked at launching but came out of the wheel spin head to head. I quickly pulled just a little bit ahead... a second after shifting into third he was at the very top of his first and this went on with every gear. The last small part of his rpm range he stayied dead even with me but as soon as he shifted I pulled ahead little by little. By 85mph I was less than a car length ahead. Fun race.

I went on a roadtrip today and this 05 titan truck kept trying to race me. Finally we got side by side with plenty of room and I just left it in 5th at 92mph... we stayied about head to head untill 112mph ish when the titan just seamed to run out of speed. I quickly kept pulling ahead.. hit 122mph on a slight downgrade when the road went completly flat with plenty of room ahead so i decieded to go for a top speed run. Quickly hit 130mph when it started to slow down but still pulled slowly but steadily untill 143mph when I had to let off due to some traffic I was coming up quickly on. To say the least I'm very impressed. Elevation was 4,800ft (compared to my house at 1,200ft), tempature was approx 72degrees. I had my huge wing on the rear and front air splitter on the front. Without those two things on Im confident that I could have hit the rev limiter in 5th gear at 147mph with the tires I was on. I know 143mph was my speedometer speed but I dont think its that far off. My reasoning is that I used a program that used the gear ratios, tire wide, tire series, and even wheel width to determine at 6,500rpm in 5th gear I'd be going 147mph. Now I dont know what exactly my rpm was at 143mph (according to the speedometer) but I know it was at least 6k rpms which according to the program I used thats 136mph.

Dam 147 MPH? I am wondering if you got your car tuned and installed gauages that could give you higher speeds, how fast your car can get to.

i still think my trans is geared slightly lower than everyone elses...my revs are really high at 110-120 (dont really look at the gauges when im driving fast)...then i hear you guys talking about going 130-140 and i'm shocked that you guys havent screwed up your cars...

No...remember my car is lowered, allot. The lowest point, just infront of the front wheels at the bumper is only 3" off the ground if I remember correctly. *Edit...went out there and measured. The suspension on the front right is just 2" off the ground...the body just infront and behind the front wheels is 3"*

It depends on your tire size. What size tires do you have on the car? For example; 205/40/17s is my street tires. Tire size changes gearing. I think the stock size is 185/55/15? With that size your going 144mph at 6,500rpm in 5th gear for the m/t.

My car is 100% solid at 125mph even with stronge winds. At 140 I got a gust of wind and it did start to feel slightly unstable...but nothing dangerous. My suspensions fully tuned though and the rear wing and front air splitter put more downforce on the car at speed.

I am talking about a speedometer that is tuned to your car setup. I know you not going to get a totally acurate reading, but it may give you a better idea tho.

im fairly sure that mine are 205/40/17...

from what ive seen my car can do on country roads, id have to say that my car would take a while to get up to 130mph

another thing with going fast...when i took that vid of me driving away at night...after i shifted to 5th at just over 100mph, i got a check engine light (the flashing orange engine light). i assume that it is either some kind of safety thing to tell you to slow down or maybe my trans got hot? my temp gauge wasn't reading above normal and it wasn't hot either...

i feel like a douche for changing the subject all the time...sorry guys

Nope...nothing like that. I'm not even sure if thats possible without getting new sensors and everything, though I dont even know exactly how the speedometer picks up the speed.

Damn dude, that's one hella top end! Too bad ya didn't have a passenger, so she could snap a shot of the speedo

I say passenger, cause no way in hell I'd expect you to do that yourself at that speed.

If Dog was right, then the Auto can go even higher than that. Provided the same mods, that is. Really really REALLY makes me want them springs. But I'm "pocket-light" until after April next year.

I did have a passanger but I didn't even think of doing that... I also brought my camra for that reason. Grr.

I want the auto gear ratios so I can double check what it tops out at. I got 205mph when I did it before but I dont think thats right.

Some updated pictures, one on the track and the other on the road trip:
