Default 1.8t gti, 04+ accord, 06+ saleen stang

Raced a few cars this weekend. Not doing the whole story thing cuz I can't remember every detail.

The gti and I raced a few times and he won every time by at least a car length from 0, 20mph, 45mph, and 60mph up to about 90mph each time. I got him off the line every time cuz he spun his tires a bit and I wasnt even trying off the line. His car was dropped, had wheels, and at least and exhaust. I'm not sure if I ever made a post about the 05/06 VR6 gti I raced but he wasnt as fast as this older one.

The accord came up on me hard just before a left hand turn, I took the turn at 40mph and came out of it at 65mph in the nearest lane. By the time I had put it in third she was just coming out of the corner in the furthurst lane and I was nearly 20 cars ahead. I waited and pinned it at about 70mph when she got nearly a car length on me before I steadily passed her. Not sure if she had the gas to the floor the whole time though cuz we were joking talking back and forth a bit.

The saleen just whooped me like no other..obviously. Maybe with a turbo it wouldnt have been so bad though. haha. The saleen stangs have anywhere from 335, 465, or 550hp depending on the model, I dont think the one I raced was the 335 model cuz he wouldnt have gotten away so quickly with a car loaded with people when I was driving alone on an empty tank of gas.

The gti must have the stock turbo on it, the ko3 spools to full boost by 2000 rpm, which is nice but wheel spin is an unfortunate byproduct..along with getting winded by about 5000 rpm. But of all the stock vw's with the 1.8 turbo its the quickest, car is real light. A few basic mods and your at 200 hp.
Congrats on hanging with it!

Yeah I love those engines....first time I've gotten a chance against one. I thought I'd whoop it though since I beat the newer gti but when I looked at the power outputs and what they weight I realized why.
