It makes the car think theirs more air but the chip isn't tune to the air that is in coming. Plus the incoming air temp and air flow is different for every intake and car, hence the need for a learning ecu that allows for a moderate adjustment. Or getting a Apexi Safc II and dyno tuning the car is better since you can make more accurate adjustments.
I recently had my car dyno'ed to see where i'm at and noticed my afr was all over the place, I could see easily where i could gain a moderate amount of power and tq. My ecu does a great job in tuning but i was able to see where it could be improved.
Does anyone have a wideband or access to a dyno that could have their afr mapped to see how well their car is tuning?
People please keep in mind that to much fuel will take away horsepower, which is why you need a proper mix..
