LOL. On the other hand, this ecconomy box that has had very little done to it (most of us are under $1000 for our performance upgrade) and it smokes a maxima. That is fun!
BTW, what year is your bros Forenza, and waht has he done to it?

I do agree with drag racing being how much money you can dish into your car. You have to learn the car well to launch it good... But once you learn it its pretty straight forward. I make fun of drag racing all the time and call it a pansy sport or whatever. But truth is I enjoy it and suck at it very much from a dead stop (Never bothered getting my launch down with the performance clutch). Personally at the track unless your running extremely fast times in the 1/4 there isn't any rush to it for me. On the street there’s allot more at stake.

my brother has an 06 forenza 5 speed stock... hes not really into the whole car sceen so he really aint into suupin it up. it sucks cause i brought him to the dealership thinkin me and him gettin 2 cars that we would get an awesome price, but it wound up beng that i needed a cosigner or a lot of cash down and i had neither. but about what you said biscuit with the types of racing, i guess i just grew up around 1/4 mile tracks..its what i know, ive had muscle cars and same with me i got bored having to show what its got... thats why i started getting into imports. i like the reno/forenza because its different and not to many people tune them out (kinda like a sleeper). are they coming out with something new for the reno for 2007? does the cobalt LS have the same motor or is it the aveo? get that video of second doin 70 workin! talk to ya guys soon

Ok, that was about 60-65mph at 5500 rpm. A bone stock Forenza held to the floor will hold the gears to 6300 rpm, which is right about 83 mph in 2nd gear with a 4 speed auto. The 5spd manny has obviously shorter gears but also has a little shorter total gearing as well, (I had a white 5spd Forenza before lil red). I have had the car hold first gear until 6500 in 1st and popped the rev limiter(no it was not in hold.

Names are misleading, no they are not, we got the Euro Ecotec, which is a completely different engine than the American Ecotec. Dtec just means it is in a Daewoo.

So, where are you shifting? If you grew up around muscle cars, you might of tought your self to shift sooner then these inports need, just due to the lower RPM, high displacment engines. Also, get that there UDpully when you get your reno. It makes a difference
