Lol. I was thinking about the same thing. I don't mess with anyone on the street. I know some of my friends Moms are the sweetest people but if you simply flip them off in traffic for a stupid reason... well lets say they arn't so nice.
If I didnt drive so much I'd probably slam on my brakes to tail gaters and whatnot. But I pull up to places all the time just shopping and I have people tell me they saw me driving a couple days ago or whatever. My cars too distinctive.
I know the feeling with people noticing your car, Just image if you had a big ass Logo on the back of your car
I love people like the OP who tailgate like that. I usually get along side someone slower in the next lane and match speeds. Box em in until I have an opening to buzz up ahead to the next car to box em in again.
I hate tailgaters...
Coming home yesterday (I think we were in VA...Melissa...lol) some dude in a Lexus SUV starts tailgating us while my Fiance was driving. Boy was she pissed. We were at about 80 at the time and there were troopers all over I95, so I told her to come even with a semi in the right lane.
The Lexus starts flashing his lights and such getting all irritated. I mean, HOW DARE we be in front of him? He must be a KING or something and us subjects have to move out of his way, cause 80 is just way too slow.....
So I told my Fiance to come out in front of the semi and when the Lexus come up in the left (fast) I told her to floor it.
By the time we hit 100, he was about 6 cars back and we had made our point.
We let him go after that. He didn't even look at us as he passed.

Well, I know when I had just got my reno and the next day had to go back to greenbrier and give some paperwork. That night getting there, there was this white car, I believe it was a Hyundai. I had this big semi going slow in the right lane so I went into the left lane and that Hyunia was way far back so I and he had plenty of room. Next think I knew this car comes up and starts flashing his brights at me for no apparent reason so I stepped on my beaks to irritate him a bit, well I got tired of it so I floored it back into the right lane and let them pass and got back behind them and flashed my brights for a while...hahahaaha.
Found out, they were going to the same place I was at First team, they were going to the Hyundai section and I was pulling into the Suzuki section.
Melissa22 - Thats sounds very much like the drivers here in Southern California, without flashing the high beams.
masterbiscuit - Thats funny. I have done simular things with tail gaters. I have yet to have someone flash their lights on me. But if I can't changing lanes and floor it I usually slow down to get them pissed off and get them driving closer to my bumper which makes them brake more and then gas the car. After I do that they usually back off.
Yeah, the only time I'll move over right away is if I get tailgated by a semi. It's happened more than a few times. When all you see in your rear view are those two high headlights and the big square grill, you move. Or at least I do.
I do worry once in a while when I get "driving partners". You know the kind. The ones that'll follow you at any speed for hours. You change lanes, they come in behind you. You slow down to let them pass, they slow down too. You get up to 90, they're right there.
