wasnt going to post this story, thought no one would be interested, but i got a bit bored. so my brother owns a 2002 civic ex sohc pushing 137 stock... i think, anywho hes got aem intake, full catback greddy exhaust, some lightened pulleys, carbon hood, motegi traklite 17's with "Z" graded tires yippy. so he just recently added a 2002 civic si onto his ownership which is completely stock for the moment. we were screwing around taking turns in the two civics seeing which one of us had the biggest balls. either way the si took the ex. than i got the idea of trying my reno vs his ex. both have around 130-140 hp give or take with his mods and my intake. i thought it was a good idea, and a good test. we were racing along a straight away around his place, which consisted of a decend 1/2 a mile of straight two lane road bending a bit to the right at the end leading straight to a stoplight. We took off from the first stop light at the beginning of this road. both equal, and both let the tires burn a little. he took me off the line, which got me going and i flored it. i hit the governer in both 1st and 2nd, which added to my loss of distance on his rear end. but third and forth got me back up to him, only to realize the basturd was only in third by the time i was close to midforth. i lost. but i was satisfied with the renos abillity to accelerate in its higher gears. i told my brother ill try again soon. and if im not dumb enough to remember ill get it on camera. once summer comes my mind will be okay to remember to bring the f..ing camera when good things happen.
