Comming home from work tonight I raced to cars on the city streets. The first one was against a VW Golf (late 90's) and surprisingly enough I won. We started at a stop at a traffic light and off the bat we where side by side. Then the Golf hit 2nd and pulled forward which got him half a car length on me. When I finally hit 3rd I pulled right past him like nothing. The guy backed off and didn't even want to challenge me again. I think that the Golf had to be the basic model or the guy can't race at all, because he should have had a bigger gap on me when he got into 2nd before I did.

The second race was against a G35. Ya I know I got balls for racing a car twice the power of mine. Anyway I lost to the G35 by two car lengths. Some other high end cars where trying to get in on the action but backed off as it seemed no one knew what the hell my car as able to do.

Thanks. I use to be able to race more, but it seem with the price of gas less people are racing on the streets and freeways. I have yet to race a moded G35, but I think that is due to the fact that there are bearly any modded G35 in the city that I work in. Now when it comes to the 350Z there are more of them modded and I don't race them becuase I know I will lose a lot more than 2 cars two those cars with how my car is currently is.

auctally you wont.

Race em in the rain and there at your mercy cause they wont hook up or catch you till 60.

Well it just depends on the driver.

if you want a close race you should try racing a mid 90's stock mustang around the 40-100 zone its a fun race.

RWD hooks even better in the rain than FWD cuz it puts the weight to the rear.

yes thats true somewhat.

thats why Fwd is :wrong wheel drive for racing"

but you must agree it does depend on the driver. but most people arent total dummys that just nail it.

Actually unless your just straight up drag racing, RWD sucks dude. I luagh everytime the **** end of one of my buddys cars come sliding out when we are racing or whatever. FWD grips better in turns.

x2. Well to a point.. if your running high hp I rather have RWD.. though.. I'll either always go with FWD or AWD. I like the way FWD takes corners and I like the track line better with it. Never driven AWD on the track though.
