Smile Need help with Jimny tires & mags :)

I'm sorry, I'm sure this has been asked elsewhere but I just don't have the time to search right now... so...

Good Day
It's about time to change the stock tires on my 2004 Jimny (it's been 4 years) and I was thinking of getting new mags as well. Could anyone please supply me with any info about the proper sizes of mags that I can get and the tires that will go with them. I dont really want have it lifted and it is used mainly on the street so I was thinking of getting mags that are just a bit wider than the stock, and maybe those tires I see on other Jimny's with the white sidewalls but not so big. I'm from paranaque

Thank you

Red face Another question...

Got to talk to Sir Ronald at 199 Off-Road house in Tondo and they were suggesting a 2-inch lift for my Jimny. Tapos pag na-lift na, mas madami nang options for mags and tires. I don't think I will really get into off-roading as a recreation any time soon but I do want to try it sometime. Some of my friends have already invited my to join them on their out of town trips. Anyway, my question is: will lifting your jimny improve its ride on the street? Im okay with how it is now, not bothered na medyo matagtag ng konti but will a 2-inch lift make it worse or lessen it? Thanks

hi there. if you're planning to change your tires and mags, a 215/75/15 tires would not need a suspension lift. but, if you want to add clearance to your ride, lift would do it. and it will not suffer your ride. just don't forget to put nitrogen air to your tires.

Thanks thanks! I got the number off 199 Offroad house from you last year
I opted to just change my tires for the meantime, didnt really need to change the mags. I did put nitrogen in my tires for the first time and I'm amazed at how they feel now. My tire pressure is 28/28 and it almost feels like they're too soft coz i dont feel most of the bumps in the road anymore. Is that because of the nitrogen? Or maybe my old tire pressure was just too high (haha). Tama naman yung 28/28 sa stock set-up right?

Nung nakuha ko yung Jimny ko 4 years ago, they told me to use only Shell V-Power gasoline. Dapat daw high octane kasi newer engines. Is this really what everybody uses? (Mahal na kasi ng gas eh, haha)

well, ever since i owned my jimny, i always put petron xcs. there was this one time that i used shell e10, wala naman naging problem. but some of the clubjimnyphils members said that their engine was kinda "knocking" when they changed from a 95 to a 93 octane.

this is already off-topic. we should transfer to club jimny philippines.
