Default Electric Radiator fan immediately starts up.

newbie here. I'm from Bacolod and just got my Suzuki Carry a month ago. It's 4x4, 5-speed tranny and has F6A engine. I have something annoying though with my pickup. Everytime I switch on the ignition (second key-click), the fan (electric) on the front mounted radiator tank starts up. The shop's mechanic told me that they did an 'override' with the defective thermostat. Do you think this setup is helpful? I'm planning to install a manual switch or some sort of delay for the fan so as not to start it up everytime i switch on the ignition. But a friend told me that it's a great possibility for an overheat especially when you forget to switch on the fan after the vehicle has run for some time. Can anyone help me?

Another question, can my engine handle an A/C unit? Thanks in advance.

Yes you can put Aircon on your ride especially the pick-up type dahil maliit lang papalamigin nya. Sa mga nakausap ko at nakita na pick-up, naka hanging type aircon sila and i think 505 compressor ang nilagay. But better look a qualified aircon shop. Once na install aircon mo your auxilliary fan it can automatically run when the aircon is on but if you prefer manual you must be aware always on looking at your thermostat. The problem with thermostat that is always on is madali syang masira. Kung ayos naman thermostat mo sa makina baka hindi naman sya mag overheat but pag may aircon you might change your radiator to a 2 row. Kung galing Japan yan usually one row sya and adapted sa weather nila. But that's what I did sa van ko but wala na yung thermostat ko so I am looking at the moment. Medyo mabagal uminit sa umaga and reach optimum operating temperature.

But that's my experience

Default service manual

Hello,
I need a service manual for a /91 Every type MDB51V 4x4 with the 660 engine F6A. Can anyone help me out with one, or where to go searching be it an electronic version or paper book copy? Would really appreciate it.

hello lance_pad...im also a bacolod newbie here. may i suggest that you put an aftermarket sensor to handle the switching of your aux fan. you can usually buy that from any autosupply and attach it to your radiator by boring a hole and having the repair man solder it. i used that on my old car before. it worked fine. it just trips on when it reaches the temp indicating hot and shuts off when its cool enough.
