Wheew! I thought I'm the only one who likes this van in Manila. Not a very popular here in terms of power and safety because the engine is located underneath the seats as there are no protection for frontal collision. But who wants to hit this cute van.
I think this van is very popular in the south. An acquaintance of mine told me that this van are also use for drag racing and 4x4 competition. They even modified the engine by putting a 4k toyota engine.
I've read past reviews in England on the daihatsu van similar to the suzuki carry, and most of the owners have something positive to say. This van is also popular in Australia and I was able to contact a suzuki carry enthusiast. He has the same van as mine but his engine is a F5 turbo. He even put up an 18 inch plasma tv, x-box and speakers plus strobe lights on the ceiling. A truly party whore in the making.haha
I was planning to put a F10 engine to replace my F5 6 valve, 3 cyclinder engine but my contact in Australia told me that a F6 is better coz they are built for speed/power and a F10 is more for torque or pulling power. I think majority of San Miguel and Coke service van vehicles has a F10 engine. A K10 1000cc 16 valve is the best choice but sad to say, i don't think it's available here.
Last month, I went to Norkis service center in Mandaluyong which sells Legacy and Suzuki vans. Their vans have a F6 3 cyclinder engine. With P20k++ additional, they'll install an AC using a sanden brand and 505 compressor. But their vans are quite over price for P230++ without AC. If you want to make your AC cold try checking what type of compressor you have. My aircon technician told me to put a 505 compressor but i have doubts on my 550cc engine if it can handle the load.
Here in Del Monte, they are still selling brand new Suzuki carry and as far a I can recall, they are selling it for P450++. You can even install a dual AC for an additional fee. It has an EFI 1.0 Donga engine. In short, it's made in China. So that's a big question mark!
I bought mine along Marcos Hi-way in Marikina and I think the owner has a shop that sells van and pick-up type in Tarlac. I like the combi type van. In Japan, you can install a body kit that transform your Suzuki carry (the head light should be round though) into a combi van.
As for the club, I'm not yet ready as I'm still taking care of my 5 month old baby girl.

I'm even ban for a while :P to ride my MC(xrm) for long rides with my MC buddies. May asthma kasi ako-(Ask my wife
