Default Clicking Noise

I recently have bought a 2001 GV and its been working well since the clicking nosie in the rear. Brakes are great condition, drums are good, wheel barriens good. Shock should be replaced however I hear the noise more when I press the brakes or sometimes turn left or right. I have a hard time finding a mechanic that knows what to do. I think it could be the drive shaft however the mechanic feels its the shocks. Has this happen to anyone before
