Question When to change timing chain 99 tracker ?

I recently purchased a 4dr. 99 tracker 114k from original owner. It is a 2.0L. auto, 4x4. It runs great, & has reciepts showing oil changes & belts. kept up properly. I want to make an everyday driver, so Ive been going thru it. Just repl. pads & rotors, & have cond. fan motor on order. Common replacements Ive been finding out. While researching on-line, I keep coming across horror stories of this being an interface eng. ? And excessive damage due to the timing chain breaking or slipping. Its to the point Im almost affraid to drive it. Anyone got any knowledge as to what mileage these should be repl. & can it be just a chain & water pump, or does it have to be a kit ? Also not totally sure if this is an interface eng. And being A 1999 and being around for A while anyone worked on A lot of these have any idea of failure percentages, 1 out of 10, 50%, all of them ? As always thanks for reading & any responses
