I actually do most of the service myself.
I have taken it to a mechanic Compuautos 200 NORTE DEL CEMENTERIO DE SANTO DOMINGO.

It is best to go informed and tell them exactly what you want done. Thats where this forum really helps.

They do OK work. I had them do the front bearings and had to take it back a few times. But they are now working well.

Hola - another member from Heredia, Costa Rica. I was given an 89 Sidekick 1.3 JA, and this forum has been so helpful. The worst problem with this car, is most things break when they're removed, as it was a US car, and may have seen salt.
Could I ask you where you get your car serviced in, or near Heredia? I have limited tools down here, and will need to get numerous things done to the car, as it was very neglected for 4 years. Anyway, nice to have someone nearby - the world really is a small place. Gerard
