um ok not sure about the post above but......i would take it to a detailer and see what they say. they might be able to clean the interior for you and get rid of the smell

When I bought my car from enterprise the previous renter smoked so they put an air ionizer in there for a weekend and the smell is gone.

...or maybe

no, seriously...good luck. Smoke reidue is nasty stuff...you'll be cleaning the insides of your windows over and over again for months. I would see if a detailing shop could guarantee any results...they probably have some good stuff to work with.

I don't know how bad it is, if it's just the smell or residue and whatnot, but I smoke in my forenza. Whenever it gets to smelling like an ashtray, I febreeze the crap out of it. Although I'm not sure if that will work Good luck in any case, I'm sure it's rank for a non-smoker.

it's pretty difficult to get all the smoke smell out of a house, so i assume that it's just as hard in a car.

one way for me to get the smell out was to quit smokeing!! rofl but ya its hard to get it out...my old 88 honda accord must have been smoked in everyday cause it smelled horrible...idk if this will work all to well but it did for me once.....wait for a hot day that your not gonna be driving around much or something...roll the windows up all the way and spray cleaner or febreeze and let it bake inside....i know it sounds weird but it worked for me lol

i used to drive a 94 civic, same problem used a carpet shampooer on every surface in the car several times. followed by frebreeze and air fresheners took a while but i got it out. you could also change the cabin air filter that should help a good deal.

some way to get rid of it are shampoo your carpets, and seats, (of course through a detailer)...get an airfreshener....and i smoke in my forenza, when i see that i smell cigs after i get out i febreeze it too death! surprisingly it does get rid of the smell...
