someone had a thread about it i thought it was him. i think just spray and clear. nice thin coats, maby some steelwool to even the finish before clear. one clear, steelwool final coat. use long even strokes. stop each stroke off the end of the part. again some primier will probubly help the pain stick better. take your time and good luck!!

you could use cheese cloth its finer. the trick is to do it lightly to polish out imperfections. usually when painting some spots will be glosier than others and a stippled or fuzzy apearance can happen from overspray. your just smoothing out overspray and evening out the shine. your not doing it on the plastic just what your painting (the paint)

I beg to differ, you can get a great looking job with dupli color wheel paint, I have done it. As far as the paint holding up, probably not as long as good factory paint, but for the price you can't beat it.

Well my rims weren't real rusty, the paint looked terrible, dull, scratched up, I took the wheels off the car, cleaned them up with cleaner like Westley's blech white, and a good degreaser then used some comet and pumice and a medium bristle brush, scrubbed until the old finish was dull smooth and clean, rinsed and dried, taped off the tire, the wheels have to be cool and paint in the shade, use lots of light coats, I used a blow dryer to set the paint in between coats because it was too cool that day, I was in a hurry too, then let dry and reinstall. You won't have a problem with a dry fuzzy look because the paint is wet enough in the can to paint an area that small.

I used to work in a shop were we made specialty items and graphics, we used spray can paint and a process oven.

Well i did the interior. well one peice and it looked like crap. I used the krylon plastic paint in black and it came out all bubbly. I dont get why. I took my time with it and did it perfect but it still came out ugly and bubbly. But the rims look awsum. I'll show pictures when i get my cameria back from brother. But what do u guys think about Painting the mirrors white, then doing the interior white and do the grill in mesh and painting it white and then doing the strip down the side of the car white kinda like tallkid did. what yall think? and this is on a black 04 forenza s.
