Default carbon fiber on black??

im just trying to get an opinion on this right now b4 i make a decision...i'm thinkin about getting a hood and i'm trying to decide whether to go fiberglass or CF. CF is a lot more pricey, but it's stronger and supposedly lighter. CF also naturally has a cool look to it...the thing is, how do you guys thing it looks on a black car???

if i'm going to paint it the same color as the rest of the body, i might as well save money and go with fiberglass. comments/concerns are greatly appreciated

I'd say go with the CF should look nice on a black car. If your going to paint it then get the fiber glass but from my point of view get the CF.

This is something I've been debating with myself for awhile as well...especialy with satin black. But apparently I can take the glossy finish off of CF stuff to match.

Anyway you should find some pictures and post them

carbon on a black car looks pretty cool. subtle.if you want something to stand out more you could do a carbon/kevlar mix. i think the color doesnt hold up as well in the sunlight though. maby if its uv coated it would.

Carbon fiber looks better on a white car I feel. But then again I love it on black and red cars as well. Go with carbon fiber, just dont wax it my brother did and its ruined. Over all its lighter looks better and it is expensive but worth the money... they need to make carbon fiber hoods for 06 forenza or atleast more interior carbon fiber.

If the hoods are good quality they should have a strong UV coat, and be able to be waxed.

btw I think if we get a group buy togather we can do carbon fibre hoods, I'm probably going to start one for trunks cause I need one, have a trunk to make a mold of, and I could ship my hood to have a mold to for the 04 forenza. I'll look into it
