Any forenza owners intrested in reno front end conversion?
Hey,
Just woundering if anyone was intrested. Since I've put so much time/effort into doing mine I could do another one pretty easy. Cost should be about a grand which would include used (but in good condition) reno front bumper, reno hood, reno fenders, reno projectors, reno grill, and a few other bits to make it work. If you wanna go with all new parts you coulld but price would be pretty damn high, besides I dont see the point on putting new parts on a used car, just isn't worth the extra cost to me.
If anyones intrested I would figure out the exact cost, make sure all the parts work (still haven't finished mine, waiting on a couple little bits and peices), then you would have to put down a 20% non-refundable deposit, I would order all the parts to my door, package it up and send it too you. Obviously there would be a slight time delay but I should be able to get it to you within a month. I could also do things like get a reno aftermarket front bumper, grill, or carbon hood (if they come out) instead of a stuck one for the extra cost. The hood I would have to find locally for you...which is really tricky. I may even have to find the bumper locally as well.
Kind of off your conversion subject, but what was involved in getting your Reno headlights' turn signals tinted clear? I could probably find thousands of owners who would probably want to do this, not to mention myself!
Also, what kinds of bumpers or ground effects are available for the Reno? Anything made domestically?
what is the point of that? I'd rather just put a bodykit on my forenza :P
The bodykit offers the opportunity to add an individuals personal style to a car; unfortunately, even a kit can become belly-button option (meaning, everyone has one).
A front-end clip replacement to an entirely different model raises the customization bar. It's the same thing with front-end conversions of GMC Yukons or Chevy Avalanches to Cadillac equivalents. In their case, it makes a lot of sense because you can buy the lower-buck version of the exact same chassis and simply add a body-element change for thousands less than buying the actual Cadillac model.

As soon as bodykits come more available you'll be seeing nearly everyone with them. Now if you want a cleaner look you can just do the reno front end, or if you wanna go all out a reno front end with a aftermarket bodykit.

Allot...I'm trying to find a cheaper sourch but I dunno if I can. You'd be looking at $100-$120 for a set of clear or blue tinted turn singal peices.

I like the idea, and the simplicity.
+1.
Not to mention I like the renos grill better and the projectors were the biggest reason for me. The lighting much much better, and they look 10x better as well. Plus without projectors I wouldn't go with an HID kit as it would scatter the light to much at 12000k.
I didn't understand your comment about Reno headlight sidemarker issue...Is someone supposed to be making a custom piece to replace the orange one? Or is it a tint job? Also I hope it's not that expensive for just that one little corner piece - minor cosmetic mods like that people prefer to do themselves. How hard was it to open the headlight housing anyway?
Anyone know if anyone in the US currently makes or stocks lip kits for the Reno? I'm not interested in anything that's still on the drawing board.
Where are the pics kinky? I would love to see how the conversion turned out.
