Default any exterior expertise?

i was thinking about doing a little custom work of my own and i have a question to ask before i tear into it...

i was wondering how the side mouldings are attached. i know that they use a special type of glue to hold them on, but how are they alligned? i'm sure they don't just slap them on there and hope it looks straight.

yeah practice on something you can throw away first.

and bring an extra large can of patience. dont cut corners or rush. draw it out to scale. measure several time then once again to be sure.
wrap your mind around it step by step start to finish. trying to imagine the things that could go wrong and how to deal with them.

what are you planning?

Ive junked three differnt fiberglass builds just learning to work with it.
since it was hand made noharm no foul but had I practiced on something more expensive $$$$$$$$$$ ouch.
and even though I now can work glass the project halted after last dry fit realized it was the wrong direction to go wanted subtle but built big. at least it looked like a monster sitting on my trunk. so now I am going the othe rdirection and cutting material away from my donor partfor a svelt look.

i wasn't gonna go that far. i was just thinking about painting it a different color for now. if i had any experience or a chance to experience it, i'd go for something that looks similar to those headlight lids that Critical sells. they dont even have to be glass, either. i could probably make something out of wood and then have someone use it as a mold to make plastic/fiberglass
